View: Covid has uncovered the necessity for cities to be extra handy, comfy, safe-and inclusive



An estimated 22-30 million migrants left cities to move again to their villages and small cities. Clearly, urbanisation just isn’t a one-way ticket to prosperity and stability for many Indian migrants. When a pandemic comes knocking, one reality is made starkly clear — there is no such thing as a financial safety in city India, solely restricted alternatives.
