Within the wake of the killing of 20 Indian troopers in a violent conflict with Chinese language troops in Ladakh, Maharashtra NCP minister Jitendra Awhad has requested the Centre to scrap the Delhi-Meerut Metro work contract bagged by a Chinese language agency.
“After the discuss of Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India), the contract has been awarded to a Chinese language firm. Who gave the contract? Below whose jurisdiction the Railways comes? Is it not the Centre?” Awhad requested in a tweet on Wednesday, whereas demanding that the contract be scrapped.
“On June 12, the Delhi-Meerut Metro challenge work was given to Chinese language agency Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Firm, by side-lining the Indian firm L&T. Then on June 15, the Chinese language killed our 20 jawans. What sort of a overseas coverage is that this?” the minister puzzled, and sought that the Centre “train a lesson” to China.
By the way, the Maharashtra authorities on Monday signed MoUs collectively value over Rs 5,000 crore with three Chinese language firms, in response to an official assertion.
