The Twitter account of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s private web site and cellular app was hacked early this morning, the social media large has confirmed. Twitter stated that it has taken “steps to safe the compromised account” and is “actively investigating” the state of affairs.
The account goes by the deal with narendramodi_in. The final tweet from the account was on August 31. The tweet has a quote of PM Modi from his month-to-month radio programme “Mann Ki Baat“.
“We’re conscious of this exercise and have taken steps to safe the compromised account. We’re actively investigating the state of affairs. At the moment, we’re not conscious of further accounts being impacted,” a Twitter spokesperson stated in an announcement.
The incident comes after a number of Twitter accounts of distinguished personalities have been hacked in July.
PM Modi’s private Twitter account, which was unaffected by this incident, has over 61 million followers.
Hackers had in July accessed Twitter’s inside techniques to hijack among the platform’s high voices together with US presidential candidate Joe Biden, former US President Barack Obama and billionaire Elon Musk, and used them to solicit digital forex.
