NEW DELHI: Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Monday mentioned it has began exports of its all-new i20 premium hatchback because it seeks to strengthen its dedication to ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.

The primary batch of 180 vehicles of the brand new i20 might be shipped to South Africa, Chile, and Peru, the corporate mentioned in a press release.

The most important exporter of vehicles from India, HMIL, mentioned it surpassed the 30 lakh car export milestone earlier in 2020. The corporate at present exports vehicles to 88 international locations throughout 5 continents.

The corporate crossed 5 lakh exports milestone in March 2008, and doubled it two years later in February 2010. In March 2014, the corporate crossed the 20 lakh cumulative exports milestone.

In 2020, the corporate exported a complete of 98,900 models, as in comparison with 1,81,200 models in 2019.
