Gold futures decline on low demand



NEW DELHI: Gold costs fell by Rs 166 to Rs 47,227 per 10 gram in futures commerce on Tuesday as speculators diminished their positions amid low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Trade, gold contracts for June supply traded decrease by Rs 166, or 0.35 per cent, at Rs 47,227 per 10 gram in a enterprise turnover of 11,270 tons.

Analysts attributed the autumn in gold costs to trimming of positions by contributors.

Globally, gold traded 0.10 per cent decrease at USD 1,768.80 an oz in New York.
