In line with an order issued by the excise division on Thursday, liquor retailers within the metropolis will now open from 10 am to 10 pm as an alternative of the sooner timing of 10 am to 9 pm. “In pursuance to pointers issued by chairperson, state government committee, Delhi Catastrophe Administration Authority, Authorities of NCT of Delhi vide order no..dated 31.07.2020, all L-6, L-7, L-8, L-9 and L-10 liquor vends are allowed to open from 10 am to 10 pm as an alternative of 10 am to 9 pm with speedy impact until additional orders,” the order said.
Of the 863 liquor retailers in Delhi, round 475 are run by 4 authorities firms — the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Growth Company, Delhi Tourism and Transportation Growth Company, Delhi State Civil Provides Company and Delhi Client’s Cooperative Wholesale Retailer. Round 389 liquor retailers are owned by non-public people.
