Bengal: Now, CPIM MLA quits social gathering, her husband joined BJP few days in the past

CPI(M) MLA from Haldia, Tapasi Mondal, on Friday stated she has resigned from the first membership of the social gathering, as there was barely any scope left

for her there to work for the folks of the state. Her husband Arjun Mondal, who was an area chief of the Left social gathering in Purba Medinipur district, joined the BJP a couple of days in the past.

“It is not attainable for me to work for folks if I proceed to stay within the CPI(M). I’ll be part of any social gathering which provides me the correct alternative,” the legislator stated.

Alleging she had been insulted by the district secretary of the social gathering, Niranjan Sihi, for making an attempt to work independently for her constituency, Mondal stated,

“He’s utilizing his place for private profit.”

Requested if she plans to comply with in her husband’s footsteps, she stated, “It will not be honest if two members of the identical family bear allegiance to totally different events.”
Sihi, when approached, stated, “Tapasi Mondal’s allegations are baseless. She is making excuses to hitch the BJP. We’re expelling her from the social gathering.”

Echoing him, Left entrance legislature social gathering chief Sujan Chakraborty stated, “One week in the past, she had categorically informed me she wouldn’t be leaving. If she betrays the social gathering now, folks won’t neglect it. No true Left chief can ever get influenced by the politics practised by the BJP and the TMC.”
