Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Ok. Palaniswami on Friday urged his Puducherry counterpart V. Narayanasamy to take motion in opposition to those that draped a saffron scarf over the statue of AIADMK founder and late Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran (MGR).

In a press release, Palaniswami, condemning the act, stated such issues disturb unity on communal, linguistic, spiritual and caste traces and are performed for votebank politics, which isn’t acceptable.

He stated such incidents are hurtful and regrettable.

Palaniswami additionally urged Narayanasamy to carry to guide the miscreants.

Deputy Chief Minister and AIADMK Coordinator O. Panneerselvam, in a tweet, condemned the incident and urged the Puducherry authorities to take authorized motion in opposition to those that insult the statutes of leaders.
